Tarporley Community Centre is a charitable, volunteer-run community hub located right on Tarporley High Street in Tarporley Village. It serves as a focal point for social, cultural, and recreational activities for people of all ages in the village and surrounding area.
We are situated in the heart of Tarporley, opposite local bus stops and close to main road connections. There is step-free access and on-site car parking available.
Our Facilities:
We offer spaces for hire that are suitable for a wide range of uses, including the Main hall which holds up to around 160 guests, with a stage, projector/screen, sprung dance floor, and audio-visual setup. The Craven Room is a great space for parties and children’s groups with two other smaller rooms, perfect for meetings and workshops.

Events, Activities & Uses
The centre hosts and supports a broad spectrum of activities
- Regular classes and clubs (e.g., dance, fitness, football, Zumba) and amateur dramatics groups.
- Community events and talks, film nights, village markets (e.g., Tarporley Village Market on the first Saturday of each month).
- Private bookings such as parties, meetings, talks, and other special occasions.
Organisation & Community Role
- We are run by a centre manager and a committee of local volunteers.
- We are a registered charity (Tarporley & District Community Centre and Recreation Ground CIO, registered number 1194629).
- We are a community hub bringing together local groups, social activities, and services in one place.
